It may be summer break, but that doesn't mean that 3Ps has stopped! We're hard at work for our Freshman Orientation Show, boom! by Peter Sinn Nachtrieb and directed by our new Treasurer, Emma Wold, A'17! They have a beautiful cast of 3 rising seniors: Grace Oberhofer, Christina Moore, and (new Secretary) Drew Page. Actors are learning their lines over the summer as the designers get to work on their designs. Then, everyone arrives back on campus a a few days before the baby freshies do to have a hectic week of rehearsal. Be sure to check boom! out on August 31st and September 1st in Balch!

Day Father: A Bodkin Success Story

Posted by Mitchell Katz on July 28, 2012 at 3:00 PM Comments comments (0)

This fall, 3Ps will be putting on 5 - 10 shows, if you count Over the Rainbow, Play by Play, and potentially unproposed minors or independents. The main show every fall, however, is our Fall Major. Past years have seen everything from the heart-wrenching Next Fall, to the Moliere's comedy The Imaginary Invalid. This year however, our major was written by senior Lindsay Carpenter, through Bare Bodkin, our student written theatre group. Bodkin got in touch with Carpenter to interview her about Day Father, a play she's had in the works since 2008.

You can read the interview at Bare Bodkin's site: http://tuftsbarebodkin.webs.com/apps/blog/show/16867821-the-3ps-major-day-father

Day Father is directed by our very own secretary Cole Von Glahn '14 and can be seen in Balch Arena Theatre, November 8-10. Audition info still to come.
